Title:Advances of Researches in Medical Ultrasound Laboratory
Abstract:
In this talk, some advances of researches and applicationc in bio-medical ultrasound imaging in MUL were presented. First, the
Medical Ultrasound Laboratory in HUST was introduced; then, the main researches in the 2D array probe based real time 3D
US imaging system, nanoparticle contrast agent based US imaging as well as the Scanning Probe Microscopy with Multi High-
Frequency Image Fusion were addressed, specially concentrated on the new advances we have made recently; finally, some new
research areas including Breast Ultrasound Computed Tomography and Deep Learning based Specific Feature Mining of Ultrasound
Plaque Image for Cerebro-vascular Events are are described.
Brief Bio:
Mingyue Ding (M’94–SM’05) received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Beijing,
China, in 1982 and University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, in 1985, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from
Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), Wuhan,China, in 1988. He is currently the head and professor of
Department of Bio-medical Engineering, assistant Dean of the School of Life Science and Technology, and the vice director of
“Image Processing and Artificial Intelligence” Key Laboratory of Education Ministry of China, HUST, Wuhan, China. In 2006,
he founded a Medical Ultrasound Laboratory in HUST. His research interests include Medical image analysis, ultrasound imaging
and image-guided surgery and therapy.
